Fatbikes don't have to be heavy. In fact, we believe fatbikes should be lightweight, nimble, and fast. A heavy dose of carbon fibre, a playful and snappy frame geometry, and a simple and elegant 1x11 drivetrain all contribute to achieving this goal. In fact, the Spirit Bear SL tips the scales at a stunning 23.6 lbs.
The Spirit Bear features a relaxed 68.5 degree head angle and short 445mm chainstays for a responsive ride with active climbing ability and agile handling on the descents. A full carbon fork with a tapered carbon steerer provides precise control while ensuring the weight is kept in check.
The Spirit Bear frame uses internal cable routing for a sleek appearance. It also offers frame rack mounts for rear rack compatibility. More importantly, it is fully compatible with 5" studded tires (Dillinger 5 or Snowshoe XL 4.8") on wide 80mm STOKE carbon rims. And finally, the Spirit Bear frame is Bluto ready, should you feel the need to add a dose of plush suspension to your ride.

1x11 Drivetrain
Admit it, you never really got along with your front derailleur. The Spirit Bear SL ditches the front derailleur and features a full Shimano XT 1x11 drivetrain.
STOKE Carbon Wheels
If you are going to lose weight, lose the rotating weight. The Spirit Bear SL features STOKE Mary/Jane 80mm carbon wheels, weighing in at a svelte 2360g per pair.
197mm Rear Thru-Axles
Quick releases went out of style with Britney Spears. So did 170mm fatbike rear wheel spacing. Our bikes feature 197mm rear hub width with 12mm thru-axles, for max stiffness and perfect wheel alignment. And, of course, plenty of room for 4.8" rear tires on the 80mm carbon rims.
Bluto-Ready
Our Kermode forks and STOKE front wheel use the 150mm x 15mm thru-axle standard for precise handling - same as a Bluto fork. The fork is "suspension adjusted" to match the Bluto geometry without changing the ride characteristics. Ride fully rigid in winter, and plush in the summer? The STOKE front wheel can be used year-round as you swap your fork with the seasons.

The Spirit Bear SL features Shimano XT brakes, the gold standard in the industry for stopping performance.
Truly Tubeless
Aftermarket tubeless conversion kits are expensive and time consuming to install. Our bikes are "truly tubeless", meaning they are setup tubeless from the factory using original OrangeSeal tape, valve stems and Sub-Zero sealant that's still effective down to -30C.
